Sometimes we all experience difficult times in our life, and that is completely okay. Everyone at one point or another goes through „dark time“ when we are insecure about ourselves, when we question if what we do is the right thing to do, when we question our existence and reason to live or reason to stay on the path we are on… I will share with you a few tips that helped me and my clients in these difficult times. ajority of us know what to do to get us out of that deep dark place we got ourselves in, however sometimes it is more easily said than done. How to motivate yourself? How to find the way back to “the light”? How to find the right path for us?
Firstly, stay calm, you are not alone. There is plenty of advice on the internet on how to deal with these situations, and I will share with you a few steps that are very useful and work well from mine experience. 1st. When you wake up, before you get up from the bed, before you brush your teeth or have a shower, think of 5 things that you are grateful for in your personal life. I know it can come across as a difficult task at this point of your life, but don´t worry, it could be small things like that you are grateful to have a food for today, or you can be more specific and be grateful for that favorite piece of danish pastry that is waiting for you in the kitchen. You can be grateful for the nice weekend you spend with your friends or family. You can be grateful that your family is healthy, grateful that you had a chance to see and catch up with whoever you did see and catch up with :), and so on. 2nd. Name 5 things you are grateful for in your career life. For example you can be grateful that you have a job, a job that ensures you have food and a roof above your head. If you do not have a job at the minute you can be grateful for your past work experience. Grateful for what you have learned there, new skills you have gained, people you met... Take your time, don't rush it through. If you need to, you can set your alarm 5 to 10min earlier so you have time for this exercise, why shall you do that? Because what is 10min in your day compared to feeling better and finding peace in your life again. 3rd. Name 5 things that you are grateful to yourself. I know this may seem like an impossible task for you at this point, but take your time and take it easy. For example you can be grateful for the great cup of coffee you made yourself yesterday; you can be grateful for your health; you can be grateful for what ever part of your body you like the most; you can be grateful to yourself that you pay your bills on time, or that you woke up on time, or for the nice dinner you made yourself last night, and so on. Soon you will find so many things that you will not be able to stop just with 5. Exercise this every day for 3 weeks and you will see a great change. I personally felt the changes after 2 weeks of daily exercising this simple routine. I felt amazing! I looked at my life completely differently, I was back on track with my life, saw it and appreciated it from a completely different angle. Image this could be you, feeling amazing and life full. I know this could seems easy, one may even wonder how could this possibly help me with my situation? To that, I can simply say, it did help me and it did help many people that I know. I always look at things as, why not try this new thing, what do I lose if I try it?
